Course Information and Fees

The course equips graduates to evaluate clothing production processes and product performance under varying conditions, understand the influences of global trends, relate these strategically to the productivity and profitability of the industry, and expand personal interests by conducting research in a specialised area within the clothing industry.The development of the four themes of organisation, technology, production and management of clothing continues in the BTech and students are required to develop an in-depth understanding of these subject areas. Students are required to prove analytical skills through the preparation of research projects on selected areas of clothing production management and technology.

The programme is conducted in an integrated manner, accommodating specialisation in either retail management or manufacturing technology.

Purpose and Rationale of the qualification
Persons achieving this qualification will be able to evaluate clothing production processes and product performance under varying operating conditions, understand the influences of global trends, relate these strategically to the productivity and profitability of the industry, and expand personal interests by conducting research in a specialised area within the clothing industry.
