BTech: Hospitality Management
Course Information and Fees
Students are educated and trained as future managers in the hospitality industry. The emphasis is on efficient management, backed by a thorough practical knowledge of the hospitality industry. Practical training is strongly supported by academic courses in Hospitality Management, Hospitality Law, Accounting, Hospitality Management Studies and Hospitality Practice. Students are expected to work in the restaurant connected to the School, under supervision and with the necessary guidance. In this way students will gain valuable experience in the different aspects of food and beverage preparation and service.
Graduates usually start their careers at supervisory or assistant management level, rapidly moving to managerial positions. They can choose from a wide range of hospitality work environments, such as hotels, catering companies, conference and leisure centres, restaurants, cruise liners, tourism offices and specialised financial firms.
